Be Classy and Italian and…Stick Eucalyptus in Your Shower?
So I am alternatively eager/scared to try this one out. The folks over at Apartment Therapy recommend putting a sprig of Eucalyptus to evoke that spa/European effect. They say sprig, but the pic (left) looks more like a bouquet, so draw your own conclusions.
Take a Fine Bird Out for Dinner
aka How to make a Classy Roast Chicken. Just to add to my “Martha Stewart Classy Theme” today. Roast chicken is a beautiful thing, great for crowds, for picking at in the kitchen, and is one of the most re-usable foods ever! You can eat it once, as a roast chicken. Then eat it again the next day for a chicken-and-awesome sandwich. Then eat it again in the form of chicken salad. Then, you can boil the carcass to make for some comforting, homemade broth, which is excellent both in and out of the sick-bed.
I’m pretty sure I had every incarnation of roast chicken this summer while working at Morning Dew Farm (check them out!) this past summer. I never really asked if the chicken I was eat was one of them I had named. (On a related note, the first thing you should learn in farming is to never, ever let anyone name the slaughtering animals).
